We had the pleasure to have trainer of Gun Runner Steve Asmussen on Race and Sports Radio the Sunday morning the day after the big race . We talked about his emotions after winning the Breeders Cup Classic and his thoughts on the event at Del Mar. We discussed his long trip in the horse racing industry and what got him to this point to achieve what every great horseman wants, and that is to win the big one " The Breeders Cup Classic". Southern California trainer Peter Miller joins the show after a big showing on his home track at Del Mar. Thoroughbred Roy H runs big and gets Miller the win in the Breeders Cup Sprint. He also had the exacta in the turf sprint on Friday with Stormy Liberal winning the race and Richards Boy finishing in 2nd place for a big Peter Miller Exacta. Peter Miller wins 2 races at the Breeders Cup at Del Mar in 2017. These were his first Breeder's Cup wins. He makes for a great interview, always gives us his time.
